The two gaming giants, Microsoft and Sony, are in an epic battle once again in the console area. First it was Xbox 360 versus the PS3, where it showed a great battle for the top. Now in an awesome and hard showdown, here are the next in the top console gaming generation, the Xbox One versus the Sony PS4. Let the battle begin!
Read Xbox One (1) VS. Playstation 4 comparison battle below.
Hi! This is Venom covering up the first gaming news on GenerationXSpot. While Elite goes on with his boring reviews, I'll be giving accurate and awesome info on games, game reviews and news. This is my first post so please comment and tell me how it is!
Release Dates:
PS4: November 15, 2013
XBox One: November 22,2013
Console Prices:
PS4: $399 Without The PS4 Eye
XBox One: $499 With The Xbox Kinect V2 (Version 2)
Console Comparative Specs:
From the battle of the Xbox 360 vs the PS3, both showed real promise. Both new consoles are powered by next-gen tech, with some close specs. In some areas, both consoles were neck-to-neck, but in others it was clear who won.
The table on the left shows the comparative specs.
It's clear that PS4 wins the battle but there some things in which Xbox One wins for
example Xbox One has more titles or games you may say then PS4 while PS4 will now also charge money like Xbox Live so they can improve there servers Xbox One's Kinect is a lot better then the PS4 Eye. PS4
runs all games on True HD 1080p
while Xbox One runs them on 720p.
The table on the left shows the comparative specs.
Controllers:
Looks like Microsoft has let go of their signature D-Pad, which had been disliked by many gamers and regretted by the console company too, as it was hard-to-handle (as the "gamers" say, I had no problem in playing with it) and very loose. Instead Microsoft has moved on to the PlayStation-like design of its D-Pad, but it is a little different as it has some depth (I think that will also bring some problems, but at least Microsoft isn't gonna be sued). The X-Logo has moved upwards (like an extension, with the RB and LB as part of it). The wing-like shape has a little change, as the bottom of the controller is a little steep, like a cut. Other than that, there is not much change.
The PlayStation controller has changed a lot more than its previous versions (good thing, I was thinking Sony was becoming as lazy as Apple in designing before). The previous controllers, all the way from the PS1 to the PS3 were almost identical, with only the change in radio type. There is an improvement in the design, as the controllers buttons are surrounded by a nice black gloss. The most prominent is the awesome touch-pad in the center of the controller, which acts as a mouse-type device, and the controller can be detected by the PlayStation Eye, so there is no need for the Move controllers.
The rest of the info (battery power, radio type, durability, etc) can only be completed once it gets in my hands.
